Nether Speedrun Mod

Nether Speedrun is a unique speedrun addon for Minecraft Bedrock Edition that introduces a strategic death mechanic into the traditional speedrun format. Your objective is straightforward: reach the End, defeat the Ender Dragon, and return to the Overworld alive. However, the twist lies in the death penalty system—each death adds 3 minutes to your timer but grants you powerful perks or items in return. This creates fascinating strategic decisions: do you intentionally die to gain abilities that might save more time than the penalty costs, or push through with pure skill for the fastest possible clear?

The addon offers three distinct game modes selectable from the Clock game menu at the start. Choice Mode lets you select one perk from three random options upon death, enabling strategic builds tailored to your playstyle. Random Mode forces a random perk on death, which could be powerful buffs or crazy debuffs like constant explosions or slowness, testing your adaptability and luck. Speedrun Mode strips away all perks and provides minimal starting items, delivering a pure test of your Minecraft survival mastery without the death-for-perks mechanic.

Game Modes
