(updated 28 June, 2026)
Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of McBuild.org and any related subdomains, services, tools, applications and content (together, the "Service"), operated by McBuild.org ("we", "us" or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, or by creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and accounts
The Service is not directed to children, and you must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to create an account. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us promptly at [email protected] of any unauthorised use of your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
2. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to:
- upload, post or share content that is unlawful, infringing, malicious, deceptive, or that you do not have the right to share;
- upload malware, or files that damage, interfere with, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its servers or other users;
- impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
- interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or the networks connected to it;
- circumvent, disable or interfere with security-related features of the Service, or any access or usage limits we apply.
3. User content and the licence you grant us
"User Content" means any schematics, files, posts, comments, descriptions, images or other material you upload, publish or submit to the Service.
You keep your rights. As between you and us, you retain all ownership rights you have in your User Content. We do not claim ownership of it.
Your representations. You represent and warrant that you own your User Content or have all the rights, licences and permissions necessary to upload it and to grant the licence below, and that your User Content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of any third party.
Licence to us. By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to host, store, cache, reproduce, adapt (for formatting and display), publish, distribute, communicate and make available your User Content, for the purposes of operating, providing, promoting and improving the Service. This licence includes the right to provide your User Content to the hosting, content-delivery and other service providers we use to run the Service. It continues for as long as your User Content remains on the Service and ends when your User Content is removed, except to the extent it has been shared by others or where we must retain copies to comply with law.
Removal. You can remove your User Content at any time through your account. We may also remove or restrict access to User Content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms or the law.
4. Our intellectual property
The Service itself β including its design, layout, branding, logos, text, software, tools, and the selection, arrangement and compilation of content and database(s) on the Service β is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property and database rights. Nothing in these Terms transfers those rights to you. You may use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use, and as expressly permitted by these Terms.
5. Automated access, scraping and use for AI / machine learning
This section applies to everyone, whether or not you have an account.
Except with our prior written permission, you may not:
- use any robot, spider, crawler, scraper or other automated means to access, monitor, index, copy or collect content or data from the Service;
- bulk-download, harvest, scrape or systematically extract schematics, files, metadata, images or other data from the Service;
- build, populate or supplement any database, archive or corpus from content or data obtained from the Service; or
- use any content or data obtained from the Service to develop, train, fine-tune, evaluate or otherwise improve any artificial-intelligence or machine-learning model, system or dataset.
The compilation and database of content on the Service is a substantial investment that we protect, including under applicable database rights. We may grant exceptions to the above on a case-by-case basis under separate written terms. If you would like permission for research, indexing, dataset or AI-related use, contact us at [email protected] describing your intended scope and use. Any permission we grant is non-exclusive, revocable, and limited to the scope we expressly agree.
We may use technical measures (including rate limits, access controls and blocking) to enforce this section, and these do not waive any of our rights.
6. Third-party content and copyright complaints
The Service hosts content uploaded by users and may link to third-party material. We do not endorse and are not responsible for User Content or third-party content, and we do not pre-screen everything that is uploaded.
If you believe that content on the Service infringes your copyright or other rights, please contact us at [email protected] with: (a) identification of the work concerned; (b) the URL(s) of the material in question; (c) your contact details; and (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised. We will review valid notices and remove or disable access to infringing material where appropriate, and may remove content from repeat infringers.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that schematics, files or other content will be accurate, complete, compatible with any version of Minecraft, or fit for any particular purpose. You use schematics, files and other content at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your User Content, or your misuse of the Service.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time if you breach these Terms or where we are required to do so by law. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination β including content licences already granted to others, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity β will survive.
11. Changes to the Service and to these Terms
We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, for example by posting a notice on the Service or updating the date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Contact
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at [email protected].
