  1. Put the downloaded .litematic file into the .minecraft/schematics/ folder.
  2. In game, press M to open the Litematica menu and choose Load Schematics.
  3. Select the file in the list and click Load Schematic.
  4. Position the placement where you want it and build — or paste it instantly in creative with Easy Place mode.

Why builders use Litematica

Litematica does not place blocks for you. It projects the build into your world as a transparent hologram and you lay the blocks yourself, following the outline. That is why it is the one schematic tool allowed on most survival and anarchy servers: nothing appears out of thin air, you still mine and carry every block. The mod highlights the next block to place, tells you which material is missing and can show the build one layer at a time, which is what makes a 200-block castle feasible in survival.

The material list is the part people come back for. Before starting, open it and the mod counts every block the build needs — 3 400 spruce planks, 180 lanterns and so on — so you can gather in one trip instead of flying home every few minutes. In creative, Easy Place mode fills the outline as you click, and the build goes up in minutes.

Setting it up

Litematica is a Java Edition mod and needs Fabric (or Forge builds by other authors) plus the MaLiLib library — both go into .minecraft/mods/. Match the mod version to your game version; a file saved in a newer version still loads, older blocks are simply unknown to the client. Our files carry the build name, the author and a preview image, so they are easy to pick out in the Load Schematics list.

Not a mod user? The same builds work with WorldEdit, or you can install them on your map online with no mods at all — handy for Bedrock players, since Litematica is Java-only.
