Middle Ages Tavern

This schematic is a tall, narrow medieval tavern built in the classic timber framed style, its front face crossed with dark wooden beams set against panels of gray stone brick. The building climbs through two upper floors to a steep gabled roof that peaks high above the entrance, with the very top of the gable clad in warm brown planks that stand out against the cooler stone below. Small windows are tucked between the beams on each level, and rounded log ends jut out from the framework to mark the floor lines, giving the facade the sturdy, hand built look of an old roadside inn.

At the base, the tavern is finished with a small landscaped forecourt that softens the tall stone structure. A low stone wall encloses beds of white and red flowers along with leafy plants on either side of the door, a slender tree stands to one side, and a cobbled path leads up to the entrance across a paved front. The combination of stone, timber, and greenery gives the build a lived in, welcoming feel, making it a natural fit for a medieval village, a market square, or a role play server in need of a proper tavern.
