Village Watch Tower (Basic)

Better Village Project

I have begun a new series of builds focused around the beloved villages of the testificates. My plan is to rebuild each type of building over again and make drastic improvements in the aesthetics as well as the functionality of each building. The first installment will include the five most recent rebuilds I have done and when I have completed all of the buildings I will be releasing a functional village build including all of them arranged within the village.

When I say "functional" what I mean is that the game will recognize these as valid village buildings and as such each build I post will be devoid of exterior doors. Once you have placed this build where you would like inside your own functional village then you may add the exterior doors and watch as the population of your village swells a bit in response!

Lastly, you may notice the descriptor of (Basic) has been included above. This is because I plan on building four stages of each building; Basic, Standard, Improved and Grand. Each of these build packs will be interchangeable and all will be functional village buildings at their release. This should provide you with plenty of variety of a similar build style so you can build your own custom villages which are Minecraft valid :)

Village Watch Tower

To complement the defensive wall of the village, the townsfolk would need a way to keep an eye out for potential dangers. Enter the watch tower. This basic watch tower is built with the same post and beam construction as the rest of the town but takes it to an extreme. The trees used for this build were massive and well over 1000 years old. The cobblestone walls are two meters thick with the expectation that even a charged creeper would stand little chance when trying to break this tower down.

This tower doubles as a barracks, housing the troops within a small bunk quarter in the foundation of the tower itself. this offers the troop a safe and silent place to rest as well as darkness even on the brightest day so they may rotate shifts with ease.
