Miner Helmet solves the small but constant annoyance of digging into the dark and stopping every few blocks to place another torch. It adds wearable engineer helmets that light the area around you on their own, so a tunnel stays visible while you keep swinging the pickaxe. They work as normal head armor at the same time, which means the helmet slot is not wasted on the effect.
Once a helmet is equipped, the glow follows your position as you move, including while sprinting and mid-jump. There are no light blocks to place and nothing left behind on the ground, and taking the helmet off ends the effect immediately. The tracking is handled per player, so on a server everyone carries their own light and nothing lingers after someone disconnects.
The add-on comes with a starter version and an upgrade for deeper trips, both assembled at a crafting table from materials you already have by then:
Both wear custom pixel-art textures and armor models, and the recipes line up with normal progression, so the stronger helmet shows up around the time you are mining deep enough to want it.
